In 1532, Incan ruler Atahualpa was captured by Spanish explorer Pizzaro. For freedom, Atahualpa offered to fill a room with gold for the Spanish. The Incas brought over 6000kg of riches – the largest ransom ever paid, but it wasn’t enough for them.
